NSCA--Team USA--Parcours de Chasse
Rules for 2008 contenders-2009 Team USA
A group of NSCA shooters from the USA will be selected annually to represent the USA at the World Parcours de Chasse Competition. This group of shooters will be known as Team USA-Parcours de Chasse.
The selection process will be designed and implemented by the NSCA International Committee with approval from the NSCA Executive Committee.
The NSCA Team USA-Parcours de Chasse membership will consist of five (5) categories for competition; Open, Lady, Junior, Veteran and Super Veteran.
Placement to a concurrent category, Lady, Junior, Veteran and Super Veteran, will take precedence over placement to the Open category.
Placement to an age specific category, Open, Junior, Veteran and Super Veteran will consider the eligibility of the member in the year of the World Parcours de Chasse Competition.
The Open category will consist of four (4) members and the concurrent categories will consist of three (3) members.
A first alternate will be selected to participate with each of the five (5) categories.
A Captain will be appointed by the International Committee for each category of competition, Open, Lady, Junior, Veteran and Super Veteran.
NSCA Team USA-Parcours de Chasse membership will be selected for the upcoming year’s World Parcours de Chasse Competition, based on their performance in the year preceding the World Parcours de Chasse Competition.
Only the main event Parcours de Chasse target scores from the listed selection shoots will be used to determine Team USA-Parcours de Chasse members.
A contending Team USA-Parcours de Chasse competitor must attend and complete the Parcours de Chasse targets offered at four (4) of the eleven (11) selection shoots chosen and published by the NSCA International Committee.
A contending Team USA-Parcours de Chasse competitor must attend and complete the Parcours de Chasse targets offered at one of the two annual NSCA events; the National Parcours de Chasse Championship or U. S. Grand Prix Parcours de Chasse Championship.
NSCA Team USA-Parcours de Chasse membership will be determined by a “head to head” comparison from the results of the selection shoots for all eligible shooters supplied by the NSCA records to the NSCA International Committee. Prior conduct may be considered in the selection process.
Shooters will be compared to their respective peer group based on the concurrent age category they may be eligible for first. For female shooters, the Lady concurrent category will take precedence over the age concurrent categories.
Shooters selected to participate as NSCA Team USA-Parcours de Chasse members must agree to and sign the agreement with the NSCA for participation and conduct. The official Team USA-Parcours de Chasse will be announced once the eligible members are determined and agreements received back at NSCA Headquarters.
All NSCA Team USA-Parcours de Chasse members and the first alternate entry fees to attend the World Parcours de Chasse Competition will be paid by the NSCA –Team USA fund (unless the event is held at the National Shooting Complex in which case the NSCA Association will cover the entry fees).
All NSCA Team USA-Parcours de Chasse members and the first alternate will receive a stipend from the NSCA –Team USA fund to assist with their expenses to attend the World Parcours de Chasse Competition. If a shooter fails to attend or elects not to participate in the Team USA event, the stipend must be returned.
A NSCA Team USA-Parcours de Chasse manager will be appointed to assist all members with training and logistics for the World Parcours de Chasse Competition.
The NSCA International Committee will select host locations for the two major Parcours de Chasse Championship events that rotate throughout the United States on an annual basis; NSCA National Parcours de Chasse Championship, and the United States Grand Prix Parcours de Chasse Championship. All host bids must be received by September 1 of the year preceding the event. All host location bids will be notified of the selection results buy November 1. An attempt will be made to rotate the host locations.
All selection shoots for qualification to NSCA Team USA-Parcours de Chasse will be published by December 1 of the preceding year
The NSCA International Committee will complete the selection process of Team USA- Parcours de Chasse with 4 alternates per category and submit its recommendations to NSCA Headquarters for approval by the Executive Committee no later than February 1 of the year for competition. The published list will include all Team USA-Parcours de Chasse members as well as the 1st alternates.
